Often, when we study, but also when we imagine something in the artistic, scientific or productive field, we spend hours, months, or even years optimizing that which doesn’t exist.
What makes a successful story different is reality, the ability to make imagined things real, transforming them into experience, improving them and putting them forth at the right time; today, more than ever, the world races and ideas, even the good ones, quickly fade.
I’m giving you this brief introduction today because I would like to involve you in the satisfaction of seeing that The Space Violin Project, imagined 3 years ago, is proceeding and hasn’t just remained an idea in the drawer: Warp 6 as well, with a 6 months delay, is still there, to symbolize a story that doesn’t give up and wants to be a reality. As the story develops, through music, episodes and the adventures and memories of its protagonist Commander AJ, I realize that I have in my hand a “saga” that is really immersed in the times in which we live, even if seen through the visions of the year 2235.
The relationship with technology, dehumanization, the desire to focus on space: every man has within himself an attraction towards emptiness and the unknown, whether conscious or not; future and space in an absolute sense.
2 days ago, Space X revealed the Starship prototype, the spacecraft that in Elon Musk‘s plans will take us to the Moon, then to Mars, and then who knows. But above all, it will do so shortly, changing it into a project based on its feasibility, and not based on unrealizable dreams (such as the transition from carbon to steel). The history of the discovery of space, from Russia to NASA, is marked with fantastic projects on paper, which then failed to achieve accomplishment precisely because the difficulty of evolution in the implementation phase made them ineffective or, indeed, simply unfeasible. Those who have adapted and evolved went forward.
This is all akin to my The Space Violin Project: Warp 6 is another step towards that story between illustration and reality, which is moving forward mostly thanks to my and my team’s spirit of adaptation and imagination rather than with the power of budget; but still manages to give a stimulus, a vision, correcting itself as we go along whenever we get stuck.
This will materialize even more in the next episode and song, which is in a phase of completion and I will show you all very soon. More and more you are finding yourselves aboard the Life on Mars, and for us this is the greatest incentive.
