The blog I had nourished with such consistency was on a little break: the little big changes of rhythm created by the lockdown and its post period prevailed.
Today is July 23rd, and we set off with some travel annotations. As I’ve always said, in these pages I write down a few lines extra than in a regular post, so for the aficionados out there it has become a weekly reading that has pulled you in a little more each time over the past 2 years.
SUMMER 2020
First of all, since many read this blog in English and aren’t in Italy, I would like to express my thoughts of solidarity to those who are still experiencing this Covid emergency with an intensity that we have managed to leave behind us here in Italy: I think of the United States, where I have many friends and was supposed to have been on tour a couple of months ago. I think of South America and all those other places where the virus is still claiming victims and forcing many people to stay home.
Are you also living this summer with that feeling of being placed on hold? Personally, I feel as if it were still May: I spend my days coordinating with my team to fill the timid requests for shows where it’s possible to perform them and with the due precautions, following the developments of the different regions on a day to day basis and, above all, feeling that now more than ever music and entertainment play a very important “therapeutic” role for everyone: us musicians, the people behind the scenes and the public.
Never like in these recent months have I felt so thanked for my work, initially via streaming and now live again, with a new and very precious proximity to the public.
It’s no coincidence that my summer tour is called “Rebirth”, so as to kick it off with that positive charge towards the future that has always inspired my The Space Violin Project.

We’re working on many other dates, also last-minute ones: follow my Facebook page for all the updates (links) and I’m sure the desire to get together will prevail and that in a few months we’ll leave this fear behind us, also thanks to music and what this universal language has allowed us to express together before, during and after this emergency.
